Pouring a luminous golden hue with a soft, creamy head, our Saffron Belgian Tripel is a bold reimagining of a classic Belgian strong ale. Built on a rich yet deceptively dry malt backbone, the beer showcases expressive Belgian yeast character with gentle fruit esters and soft spice. Saffron is used with restraint, lending a subtle floral warmth and an aromatic depth that nods to historic brewing practices without overwhelming the base beer.

To add intrigue and encourage the beer to evolve, we introduced hot honey at cask, not just for flavour, but to kick-start secondary fermentation. The honey provides fresh fermentable sugars, naturally conditioning the beer in the vessel while contributing a rounded sweetness and a gentle chilli warmth that slowly reveals itself sip by sip. It’s a layered addition that complements the tripel’s complexity rather than competing with it.

Honouring centuries old brewing heritage, we’re presenting this beer in cask, a mash-up homage to Belgian strong ales and British real ale culture. The result is a living beer experience: smooth, naturally conditioned, and ready to evolve with the passing of time.
