What began as a hobby, like many breweries by fermenting in corners, obsessing over water chemistry and hop schedules, slowly grew into something deeper. Brewing turned out to be more than a distraction. It was familiar in all the right ways: hands-on, process-driven, and full of invisible details that make all the difference.
The name of the brewery? It comes from years of working in the creative printing industry. The smell of a newspaper hot off the press. The hum of machines running at full tilt. The weight of ink on fingers. That world shaped how we see things. How we make things.
Now, we’re a small Nano brewery based in Belper, Derbyshire, making beer for more than just our friends. We make artisan, small-batch beer with intention, curiosity, and a love for the overlooked. So, if you see our beers out in the wild, please give us a try and tell us what you think.
