Forme is our take on a New England IPA with a sour twist. Built around a soft, hazy malt base of Pale Ale, wheat and Maris Otter malt, the beer is generously hopped with Mosaic, Citra and Luminosa. This is our first time brewing with Luminosa, a hop we’re excited to put through its paces. It brings peach-mango lemonade, candied orange peel, boysenberry, papaya, and guava flavours, which when paired alongside the familiar juiciness of Mosaic and Citra it create layers of tropical and citrus flavours.

The twist comes from the Sour yeast from Murphy & Sons, bringing a bright, refreshing acidity that lifts the hop character and keeps the beer lively. At 6.3%, Forme balances soft malt, juicy fruit, citrus and acidity into something deliberately a little out of alignment. The name comes from the printing term for a complete arrangement of type and blocks, locked together and ready to make an impression, we think this a fitting description for what is going on in this beer.
